The three main actors all have ties to superhero movies. Tobey Maguire played the lead role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Sam Raimi's trilogy, Natalie Portman played Jane Foster in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Jake Gyllenhaal played Quentin Beck/Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019). Maguire would later appear in the MCU in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), making all three leads to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
