Many scenes are similar to the ones of other movies of Totò. The one in the delicatessen is similar to a scene of Totò's first movie Fermo con le mani! (1937), then proposed again in Totò a Parigi (1958). The scene of the inn was similarly remade in Totò e Carolina (1955) by Mario Monicelli, where Totò plays the role of a cop.
