Near the end of the movie, Barney Ross says "That thing belongs in a museum." This was a famous line from Indiana Jones e l'ultima crociata (1989). Coincidentially, Harrison Ford, who played Indiana Jones, appeared as CIA Agent Drummer in Expendables 3 (2014), after Bruce Willis refused to return as Mr. Church. Harrison Ford, like Arnold and Sly, was offered to play John McClane in Die Hard but turned it down and the role then went to Bruce Willis.
