Early in the story, Thor is told Mjolnir landed 50 miles west of town. When the Destroyer attacks and Thor's hammer returns to him, the flight takes 20 seconds of screen time. This scene appears to show events with no trimming for dramatic effect, meaning Mjolnir's average speed was roughly Mach 12 - about 9,000 mph.
