This was Cecil B. DeMille's only movie made in widescreen. In 1952, when Il più grande spettacolo del mondo (1952) was released, all movies, except for This Is Cinerama (1952), were made in the old non-widescreen Academy Standard ratio of 1.37:1. Four years later, widescreen movies had become standard.
