By the end of the movie, Sarah Connor has the same cuts on her shoulder that she would have received in Terminator 2 - Il giorno del giudizio (1991) (had the timeline not been disrupted). In T2, Sarah receives a cut on her back from the T-1000 while escaping in an elevator, and at the end, the T-1000 pierces her shoulder from the front. In Terminator Genysis, she gets a cut on her back from being hit by a car after time-travelling to 2017, and the T-3000 later pierces her shoulder. This may insinuate that some things in history are unavoidable.
