Augustin says Mirabel takes after her mother. Both reveal a capacity for healing (in different but equally important ways) and empathy. In the photo series next to Abuela's wall, young Julieta even has a similar look to present-day Mirabel: white blouse, blue-green skirt, and unruly curls in the same cut.
