The USS Philip (DD-498) was the destroyer that steams out of Pearl Harbor at the beginning of the attack. She was decommissioned 9/30/68 and struck from the Navy List 10/1/68. She was sold 12/15/71, but sank in a storm on her way to be scrapped on 2/2/72.
