When they first fight in the movie, Venom binds Spider-Man with his webbing and tears off his mask. He did the same thing in the Spider-Man (1994) episode 'The Alien Costume, Part III' (s01e10) and 'Coming of Venom!' (Spider-Man Adventures Vol 1 #10, September 1995). Venom's line "How's that sound, tiger?" is also taken from this scene. In both instances it's delivered in the context of him threatening to kill Mary Jane.
