The two Sergeant Turners, both played by Bill Bailey, are possibly a nod to Courtney and Harold (the latter of whom is unseen) from La calda notte dell'ispettore Tibbs (1967) whom Chief Gillespie mixes up when complaining about the station gate not being fixed.
