The ballet footage seen in the film on the night Andre and Helene go out to celebrate was originally shot as test footage when the CinemaScope process was still in development. This same footage also appears in several other 20th Century Fox films of the 1950s, among them Un amore splendido (1957), which had been released the previous year.
