Stunt Coordinator Sam Hargrave revealed a touching hidden detail about when Captain America fought his 2012 past self. Hargrave started working with Marvel movies on The Avengers (2012) when he was the stunt double for Cap, but on Endgame, it was his younger brother Daniel Hargrave who was the Cap double. But the fight gave Sam Hargrave a chance to pull on the suit one last time and moments in the fight are him and his brother fighting each other as Cap in the biggest movie of all time. "That's why I got back in the suit, so that I could say that. Marvel's great at this, but there's a lot of digital face replacement and there's a lot of epic moments where that is the brothers Hargrave duking it out on screen in Avengers: Endgame," he explained. "And that's the reason I did it, because that stuff lives forever. You get to tell your kids, your grandkids, that that was me and my brother doubling and fighting in that movie." Sam Hargrave directed the entire sequence and he called it "one of the high points" of working on the film.
