Similar to the original death sequence for Keyes (Gary Busey), the scene featuring the Jamaican gang murdering Colombian drug lord Ramon in his penthouse also required heavy editing to make the theatrical cut. Like the Keyes sequence, Ramon's death was considered far too graphic for MPAA standards, and was causing the film to receive an NC-17 rating. The original gruesome sequence explicitly shows the gang leader cutting into Ramon's chest and removing his heart while he is still alive. For the theatrical cut, the scene cuts away when the gang leader initially stabs Ramon. A moment later during the Predator's initial attack, the leader can be seen holding Ramon's heart very briefly.
