The film has a lot of references to many of the lead actors' old films. In a scene, Love(Vikram) asks Meera(Nayanthara), "Are you ok, baby?". This is a reference to Nayanthara's 2015 Blockbuster, 'Naanum Rowdy Thaan', in which the dialogue was repeated. In another scene, Love asks Aayushi(Nithya Menen), "Are you Ok, Kanmani?", This is also a reference to Nithya Menen's 2015 film 'O Kadhal Kanmani', popularly known as Ok Kanmani. In another scene, a patient asks Love where he's sending him. He replies, "Adhukum Mela" . This is a reference to Vikram's 2015 Blockbuster 'I'.
