The live band playing during the dance scene midway through the film are performed by Q Lazzarus, writers of "Goodbye Horses." Diane, the singer of Q Lazzarus, is briefly shown singing in close up. "Goodbye Horses" is a prominent song in "Silence of the Lambs," another one of Demme's movies.
