Bane in this movie is similar to a character called Evan, a chauffeur/henchman that served Ivy during a comic story-arc in the early 1980s. Later he was referred to as Ivor. It's possible they're two separate characters, but since they're so similar, and since they both appear within the same story arc, it seems more likely the writer simply changed his name in between issues.
