Jimmy Bly's car is powered by a Mercedes-Benz engine. The German manufacturer had a successful 1997 season in the CART series and won the Engine Manufacturer's Cup after being victorious in nine races, but went on to experience little success in the following years and withdrew from the series after a winless 2000 season.
