This is Pete Docters only Disney/Pixar film that didn't win an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Up (2009) and Inside Out (2015) have both won, but Monsters & Co. (2001) lost to Shrek (2001). This is also one of only two Pixar films to be nominated for the award without winning it, the other being Cars - Motori ruggenti (2006).
