In anticipation of The Matrix Resurrections, Warner Brothers partnered with Nifty's to create 100,000 unique NFT avatars that will exist in The Matrix universe. Users will be given the choice to take the blue pill or the red pill on January 5th, 2021 and will be able to compete with other avatar owners to climb the red pill/blue pill leader boards by completing missions. "Matrix Avatars will be a multi-year experience, including an active online community and "missions" that offer users opportunities to earn NFTs and upgrade their avatars." Fans who weren't able to mint an avatar during the initial launch can purchase them on the Nifty's marketplace for a chance to become a part of the Matrix story in this first-of-its-kind, multi-year event.
