The costumes in this film are a classic example of 1950s sensibility. Andre and Helene relax around their home in semi-formal dress: he lounges in the backyard wearing a tie and a white shirt with slacks and black leather shoes and she wears a full complement of dresses, jewelry, set hair and high heels.
