During the scene where Bruce is getting ready to read the news, Jack tells Bruce that the Sabres have won the Stanley Cup. In reality, the Sabres have never won the Stanley Cup. They made the Stanley Cup Finals twice: once in 1975 and again in 1999, but lost to the Philadelphia Flyers and Dallas Stars respectively.
