In this movie there's a blasphemy joke where Kevin O'Shea (Ed O'Neill) says "Settle down for Christ's sake!" in the scene where his character is trying to calm his players for a visiting priest's prayer. Similarly, almost twenty years later in the series Modern Family, the line "This is a house of god, damn it!" is spoken by Jay (Ed O'Neill), also in front of a offended priest.
