While Ricky Roma (Al Pacino) is talking about random subjects to draw James Lingk (Jonathan Pryce) into a sale, he mentions Hell twice, as a metaphor relating to immoral behavior. Al Pacino played Satan in The Devil's Advocate (1997), actually corrupting the Earth via his law firm, intending to cause a form of Hell on Earth. In Something Wicked This Way Comes (1983), Jonathan Pryce plays Mr. Dark, a demonic figure that was quite possibly from or related to Hell.
