In this movie remake, actor Nicholas Hammond plays General Charles Thatcher II. In the original 'Turkey Shoot' (1982) movie (aka 'Escape 2000'), actor Michael Craig played Charles Thatcher, warden of Camp 47. The earlier film was released in the UK as 'Blood Camp Thatcher' referring to this character, but as the film was a commentary on fascism, the title had a double meaning, as Margaret Thatcher was the then Prime Minister of a conservative British government.
