Meg Lloyd Bergman (Christine Lahti) undergoes the medical procedure of in vitro fertilization in this movie. Both cinema films that Lahti appeared in before and after this picture were both medical in nature, they being Corso di anatomia (1989) and Un medico, un uomo (1991) respectively. Lahti played a doctor in the latter and in Chicago Hope (1994).
