The way Richie gets slashed in the arm by Ghostface as he's entering Tara's hospital room is remarkably similar to how Jill was slashed in the arm in Scream 4 (2011). Both were revealed to be the killers, and purposely orchestrated these injuries with their partner to make them look innocent.
