Ilarde and Production Designer Ericson Navarro were under such a tight budget that they only had a Practical Effects-man for a limited number of days. Some of the scenes where frosty mist rises from the opened fridge door were shot by having Art Director Erwin Sanchez blow cigarette smoke at the corner of the camera lens while tucked away from view, kneeling at the back of the refrigerator.
