Another instance of foreshadowing hidden in the film: when Danny mentions a "car accident", Nicholas corrects him, saying they are supposed to use the term "collision" because "accident" implies "there's nobody to blame". Later in the movie, Nicholas asks Danny how his mother died and Danny innocently replies "car collision". It's later revealed Danny's mother intentionally killed herself, so there was indeed "somebody to blame".
