Towards the beginning, the head piece to the Staff of Ra is mentioned by the soldiers as one of the possible items contained within their convoy. This is a fun direct reference to the item of the same name found in I predatori dell'arca perduta (1981). They also reference the Holy Grail, which was from The Last Crusade.
