This marks the first time since Processo all'incredibile Hulk (1989) that the character of Wilson Fisk/The Kingpin is played by a white actor (Vincent D'Onofrio). Roscoe Lee Browne voiced him on Spider-Man (1994) and Michael Clarke Duncan played him in Daredevil (2003).
