Marina Massironi (Chiara) had been married with Giacomo Poretti until 1994. Their divorce didn't affect their artistic partnership, which lasted until the 2000s: she worked with the trio on TV, stage and cinema and starred in other two of their movies, Così è la vita (1998) and Chiedimi se sono felice (2000). In particular, the three movies form a sort of trilogy: in Tre uomini e una gamba it's Giacomo the one falling in love with Massironi's character, in Così è la vita (1998) it's Aldo and in Chiedimi se sono felice (2000) it's Giovanni.
