This film was animated directly into the 1.85:1 theatrical ratio, using physically wider media, as opposed to the more common practice at the time of animating in 1.37:1 and protecting the framing for the theatrical ratio. This allowed the animators to focus their efforts on adding more detail into the frame that would be seen in theaters.
