Before entering Lalotai, Maui complains that if Moana starts singing, he'll throw up. Near the end of the film, when Moana sings "Know Who You Are" to Te Ka, Maui does not, in fact, throw up (presumed to be mere hyperbole) or otherwise react negatively at all, signifying his growth and maturity.
