Was originally going to be a animated film titled "The Dubbed Action Movie: Enter the Fist" in which it was going to spoof anime shows and movies with bad English dubs. But the studio and Steve Oedekerk decided to make it a live-action movie instead to spoof Hong-Kong martial arts movies with bad English dubs. The original stuff that Steve added to the movie that were not in Bruce Lee la tigre indomabile (1976) were originally from the original animated movie version.
