Another missing figure from Twin Peaks was co-creator Mark Frost. The relationship between David Lynch and Frost had become strained during the second season and after the series ended. Frost went on to direct his own film, Il mistero di Storyville (1992), and was unable to collaborate with Lynch on Fire Walk with Me.
