To help promote the movie, both Robert Englund and Ken Kirzinger both appeared in character as Freddy and Jason respectively at Bally's Las Vegas casino hotel for a weigh-in (as though they were actual prize fighters) and a press conference. Naturally, Freddy did a lot of trash-talking while Jason remained silent. The full video of the event, Freddy Vs. Jason Weigh-In Las Vegas (2003) can be found on the film's DVD and Blu-ray releases.
