Major spoiler for all three films in the "Depression Trilogy" (Antichrist (2009) / Melancholia (2011) / Nymphomaniac - Vol. I (2013) - Nymphomaniac - Vol. II (2013)): All of Charlotte Gainsbourg's characters in each film has a male child (Nic in "Antichrist", Leo in "Melancholia" and Marcel in "Nymphomaniac"). Marcel is the only child who is not killed.
