Walt Disney Animation Studios' first film without humans to be the winner of the academy award for best animated feature, Bambi (1942), Robin Hood (1973), The Lion King (1994), and Dinosaur (2000) all released before the award came to existence and Chicken Little (2005) lost to Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2005).
