Digital Effects Supervisor David Nelson and his team of designers and technicians designed "everything down to our own typefaces" according to the film's press kit. Nelson said: "We've had to pull the live action back in and process it through systems - 3D, digital and compositing, but the real nightmare began when we tried to get all the computers to talk to one another. We used silicon graphics machines and built-up power macs which all had to be networked together so that the computers could actually respond to what the actors were doing."
