Although Captain America and Tony Stark's relationship is often portrayed as fractious, such as the scene in this movie where the heroes argue in the Helicarrier's lab, along with Tony antagonizing Rogers at Barton's home in Ultron, and of course the events of Civil War and beyond in Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019); with Tony even seemingly disappointed at one point making the remark "That's the guy my dad couldn't shut up about?" He does give Cap a rare compliment in this film during his confrontation with Loki when he's telling Loki about the team. Tony describes Cap as "a super-soldier, a living legend, who kinda lives up to the legend."
