This is the first Don Bluth film to be rated PG, unlike his previous films from The Secret of NIMH to Barrok the Magnificent, which were rated G, as the Don Bluth films that were rated G were too childish to attain a PG rating, the same can be said with the sequels to The Secret of NIMH, An American Tail, The Land Before Time & All Dogs Go to Heaven.
