In real life, Jaime Jose was arrested by three police detectives, two of which were disguised as ice-cream vendors. When Jose tried to escape, the third detective blocked his path with a Thompson sub-machine gun. The film depicts only one detective acting undercover as an ice cream vendor while four more, each holding pistols instead of the aforementioned Thompson sub-machine gun, blocked Jose's escape.
