When the trio are out on the street in front of the firehouse, there is a policeman standing in the background directing cars to continue on without making a right turn into the scene being shot. There is also a Safeway grocery store on that background street, and later on a Max Factor Make-up Salon (opened in 1935) and Bekins Van Lines truck, the last two possibly product placements or merely coincidence.
