This movie was a revival in Oscar nominations for director Clint Eastwood who was nominated Best Director and for Best Picture eleven years after Unforgiven (1992). The following year, he would take home the Oscars for Million Dollar Baby. He would also be nominated again for Letters From Iwo Jima (2006).
