Joaquin Phoenix and Rami Malek have both been nominated for an Oscar for their portrayal of a famous musician. Phoenix as Johnny Cash in Walk The Line (2005), and Malek as Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody (2018), with Malek winning the Oscar for his performance.
