The theme "South American Getaway" is very influenced on a jazzy styled, musical genre known as Onda Nueva (New Wave), created by the Venezuelan author, composer and musician Aldemaro Romero, who started to develop it in 1968. Onda Nueva is a fusion of Venezuelan "joropo" (from folklore typical from certain regions of the country), jazz and bossa nova.
