Walt Disney, William E. Garity, J.N.A. Hawkins and the "RCA Manufacturing Company" won a Certificate of Merit "Special Award" "for their outstanding contribution to the advancement of the use of sound in motion pictures through the production of Fantasia" at the 14th Academy Awards in 1941.
