"The paranoia of both of these films is something very near and dear to my heart," says James Cameron explaining that he has feared nuclear annihilation ever since seeing footage of nuclear explosions as a child. He wrote his own fears into the Sarah Connor character and how she reacts to knowing the end of the world is fast approaching.
