30 years after the movie's release, Michael Edwards returned as old John Connor in Skynet (2021). In the short film, the human resistance has lost the war with the Skynet and the human race is extinct and an dying John Connor encounters a woman (Laura Van Yck) who reveals herself to be Skynet and wishes to makes amends for Judgement Day and offers John Connor to go back in time herself and prevent her own creation and erase Judgement Day.
