In real life, Filmation Studios' animated series The Real Ghostbusters - I veri acchiappafantasmi (1986) was located in the San Fernando Valley region of Southern California: Reseda, to be exact. The area adjacent to the studios was used to a great extent in Boogie Nights - L'altra Hollywood (1997). Ironically, the 1970s live action version had a cartoon opening with the NYC skyline. He-Man e i dominatori dell'universo (1983), from the birthday party, was another hit series by Filmation.
